About the Studio

Andi Singer Designs is a Philadelphia-based fashion design studio supporting early-stage founders through the full apparel development process, from early brand alignment to production-ready execution.

The studio was founded to address a common gap in the fashion startup space: founders are often asked to make high-stakes design and production decisions without a clear framework, cohesive guidance, or integrated support. Too often, branding, design, and technical development are handled in isolation, leading to confusion, misalignment, and unnecessary rework.

My work brings those pieces together.

  • I primarily operate as an end-to-end design partner.

That means guiding founders through sequencing, trade-offs, and decisions that shape both the product and the business behind it. Rather than jumping straight into execution, I help establish clarity around brand intent, customer needs, and product strategy before moving into design and technical development.

    This approach supports:

    • More informed decision-making

    • Clearer communication with manufacturers

    • Stronger alignment between brand vision and finished product

  • Projects are scoped in phases, with clear goals, defined responsibilities, and documented decisions at every stage. Clients are not expected to already understand apparel development; education and transparency are part of the process.

The studio builds long-term partnerships with brands that value:

    • Clear communication

    • Intentional growth

    • Products designed with production in mind

  • Based in Philadelphia, Andi Singer Designs works with founders locally and remotely, and maintains close ties to the regional fashion and creative community. The studio collaborates with pattern graders, sample makers, photographers, and production partners as needed to support each project.

Design with intention. Build with clarity.

At its core, Andi Singer Designs exists to help founders build apparel brands with intention—through structure, alignment, and well-executed design.

About the Founder

Andi Singer is a technical apparel designer with experience spanning brand development, apparel design, and production execution. Her background includes working across complex and functional apparel categories, where construction detail, fit strategy, and material behavior are critical.

Through Andi Singer Designs, she works closely with founders who may be launching their first collection or refining an early-stage brand—acting as both a design lead and a guide through the realities of apparel development.

Her work emphasizes structure, clarity, and thoughtful process, helping founders move forward with confidence rather than assumptions.

Digital Design & Photography

Andi began her career in advertising and brand identity design before moving into e-commerce and later working as a UX/UI designer for USAID. Alongside her design work, she is an accomplished portrait photographer, with work featured in galleries and recognized through multiple design and photography awards. This cross-disciplinary background shapes a systems-level approach to apparel—where brand, product, and user experience are always connected.

Fashion & Technical Design

Andi began teaching herself to sew during the early pandemic years, building on her background in design through hands-on garment construction. As her practice deepened, she refined her technical skills through formal study in textile and garment production at the Made Institute in Philadelphia. This foundation led her to specialize in technical outerwear and luxury leather apparel through the development of her own brand, Venus in Aries, where she focuses on complex construction, functional detailing, and production-minded design.
