CLO3D Design + Development
This service is for founders who need to see the product more clearly before moving into physical samples. Using CLO3D, digital patternmaking, and 3D garment visualization, I help turn ideas into more detailed, reviewable digital assets so you can refine silhouettes, proportions, and design details earlier in the process.
Working digitally first can help reduce guesswork, improve communication with collaborators, and support a more efficient development process with less unnecessary sampling. CLO describes its platform as true-to-life 3D fashion design software that creates virtual garments and digital samples, which is exactly why this service is valuable before production.
Best for
Founders who want digital mockups before sampling
Brands refining styles, fit direction, or design details
Teams that need clearer visuals for internal or factory conversations
May include
CLO3D garment visualization
Design refinement and silhouette review
Digital pattern development support
Colorway or material scenario mockups
Exported visuals for decks, reviews, or development use
Why start with digital development
When you are building a fashion brand, it is much easier to make good decisions when you can see your ideas clearly before anything is cut or sewn. Working digitally with CLO3D, digital patterns, and technical design tools lets us explore silhouettes, test ideas, and refine details without jumping straight to physical samples.
-
Digital development lets you see your garments in detail before fabric is cut or orders are placed. By reviewing silhouettes, proportions, and design details in CLO3D, you can check that your product truly matches your vision before you commit to physical production.
-
When your ideas are developed digitally, it becomes easier to keep everyone aligned. You can share visuals, measurements, and design decisions with collaborators, factories, or future team members in a way that reduces confusion and keeps the work moving forward.
-
Working digitally first means fewer “trial” samples, fewer packages traveling back and forth, and less energy spent on garments that will never be worn. By making more decisions on screen, you respect materials, reduce unnecessary waste, and lower the carbon impact of your development process.
-
Digital design and prototyping help you catch issues earlier, refine ideas faster, and avoid rounds of expensive rework. The result is a development process that feels more intentional: you spend your time and budget on the right iterations, and you move toward launch with greater confidence in the product you are building.
How it works
01. Project Intake
We begin with a clear intake process to understand your brand, product goals, design direction, and where you are in development. This helps define the right scope and identify what needs to be explored digitally.
02. Design Direction
We review your concept, silhouettes, and overall design intent so the digital work reflects the product you are actually trying to build. This stage helps us align on the look, purpose, and priorities of each style.
03. Digital Pattern Development
From an existing pattern, block, sketch, or concept, we begin building the garment digitally. This step creates the foundation for 3D visualization and further refinement in CLO3D.
04. Material and Trim Visualization
Next, we apply digital fabrics, colors, and relevant garment details to better represent the intended look and feel of the product. This helps bring more realism and clarity to the design.
05. Garment Refinement
We review silhouette, proportions, and design details in 3D so adjustments can be made before physical samples are created. This stage is where many of the most important visual decisions happen.
06. Color and Option Review
We can explore colorways, material options, or alternate design directions to compare what is working best. This gives you stronger visual context before moving into sampling.
CLO3D Design + Development starts at $850 for one garment style. This is ideal for founders who want to see a key piece developed digitally before deciding on further styles. Additional styles are quoted based on complexity and level of support.
Deliverables for one style
One CLO3D garment file and pattern file for the developed style (.ZPRJ and )
3D garment views exported as still images (front, back, and at least one angled or detail view)
One round of digital refinement to adjust silhouette or key details in 3D
Simple color or material scenario previews for that style
A short written summary of design decisions and any recommendations for next steps before sampling
